Hulunbuir City in northern China’s Inner Mongolia saw raw coal output from its above-sized producers (annual revenue over 20 million yuan) at 60.63 million tonnes over January-September, down 6.3% on year, showed data from the provincial government on October 22.Of the 19 above-sized coal firms in the city, combined coal output from the top four companies contributed 18.07 million tonnes or 80.1% of the total, though three of them posted negative growth.The output decrease in the first three quarters was mainly due to the production cut of Shenhua Baorixile Energy, which fell 15.4% on year to 18.07 million tonnes, though accounting for 29.8% of the total output of the city.Besides, the output cut and production halt in most companies with low capacity also reduced the production.Over January-September, the above-sized producers in Ewenke Autonomous Banner saw its raw coal output reach 22.3 million tonnes or 36.78% of the total across the city, up 0.93% on year, with total output value stood at 2.29 billion yuan ($361.08million).Meanwhile, Hulunbuir saw coal sales from its above-sized producers fall 6.7% on year to 51.34 million tonnes during the same period, with coals sold outside of city at 35.56 million tonnes, down 12.2% on year.In September, the average coal price at the city stood at 129 yuan/t, falling 15.85% from a year ago.
